QUBE-Servo 2 and Quanser AERO Now Released

We are happy to announce that the new products - the QUBE-Servo 2 and the Quanser AERO experiments are now released for sale, and Quanser is now accepting orders for these products. Introducing QUBE-Servo 2

The QUBE-Servo 2 is a new generation of Quanser rotary servo experiment, based on the QFLEX 2 technology. With the general function and technical specifications identical to those of QUBE-Servo, the QFLEX 2 technology allows for control using a PC via USB connection (QFLEX 2 USB interface panel), microcontrollers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc. via SPI connection (QFLEX 2 Embedded interface panel), and NI myRIO via MXP interface (QFLEX 2 NI myRIO interface panel).

The initial release of the QUBE-Servo 2 is limited to the version with QFLEX 2 Embedded interface panel (QUBE-Servo 2 Embedded). The QUBE-Servo 2 Embedded will include Arduino examples, as well as an interfacing datasheet that details the connections and protocols used. The full (USB version) courseware as reference material.

Introducing Quanser AERO

The new Quanser AERO platform reached the design prototype milestone, and we'd like to share more information about this new product for mechatronic exploration and controls.

 

The Quanser AERO is a dual-rotor aerospace experiment with reconfigurable dynamic components for teaching mechatronics and controls at undergraduate and graduate levels, and suitable as well for advanced aerospace research applications.  

 

Quanser AERO is an integraded stand-alone experiment and does not require additional hardware components. Based on the new QFLEX 2 technology, the platform can be controlled using a PC via USB connection, popular micro-controllers such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi via SPI connection, or NI myRIO via MXP interface.

QUARC 2.5 Released

The new version of QUARC real-time control software, QUARC 2.5 is now released. As of December 1, all shipments included the new version of the software. Please visit the Products section of the Partner Zone for the updated materials, including:

QUBE-Servo Lab Bundle Released

Quanser has recently released a new product package, the QUBE-Servo Lab Bundle. The bundle is an ideal solution for institutions looking for an affordable way to build new, or equip existing undergraduate control labs with multiple experimental plants.

Quanser Robotics Package for Education Released

We are happy to announce the official release of our new product, the Quanser Robotics Package for Education. Starting May 14, 2015, we are accepting orders for the product. 

The Quanser Robotics Package for Education is an affordable multi-seat simulation and hardware package, with extensive courseware support. The package consists of:

  • 4 DOF serial manipulator with a two-finger gripper by Kinova (Canada), customized exclusively for Quanser

  • RS-485 serial card

  • QUARC control software (10 licenses)

  • comprehensive undergraduate robotics courseware with simulation and 3D visualization for 10 workstations
